Peace, Kindness and Friendship

We read the book, The Peace Book ,by Todd Parr and wrote about what peace means to us.
Here are just a few examples.

Engineering and Design

In science the children had to design a doghouse with materials they thought would keep a dog dry. Some of the materials were, wax paper, tinfoil, paper or cloth, to make a few.
The children worked in cooperative groups to test their hypothesis and make observations. This is our end of the unit activity for Matter. We all know, it all matters🙂

Peace and Friendship crafts

We are celebrating Peace, Friendship and Kindness this whole month of December. We made peace signs for our classroom windows as a way to celebrate!

Nonfiction Reading

Today during Readers Workshop we focused on keywords in our nonfiction books. These keywords help us grow knowledge about our nonfiction topics. We jotted these keywords down on sticky notes. 📝

Farm to School

We made acorn squash curry soup with ginger. It was delicious 🍵!
