Early Release Day

Friday is an Early Release Day!

Just a reminder that this Friday, December 14, 2018 the school day is over at 12:30.  We eat lunch at school.

We have been studying Matter during science.  There are 3 states/groups of Matter.  We have learned about the Properties of Matter and Matter can change.  We made snowflakes out of paper to discover a Physical Change of Matter.

Thankful turkey 🦃

Our reasons for being thankful are growing everyday. Every morning, the first activity we do is to make a thankful feather for our thankful turkey.  This is a wonderful way to start off every day!

Owls 🦉 on Display

Our owls are on display outside our classroom.  The owls represent how each child pictured, Mr. Ocax, a character from our first chapter book read aloud.  It is incredible to see how each child envisioned this important character.

Fire Safety Week

Fire Fighter Brad from the South Burlington Fire Department came to Orchard and spoke to us about fire safety and how to keep ourselves and our homes safe during a fire.

Dear Families,

The circus fun is well underway and all the children are having a wonderful time with Troy.  We have had 3 practices this week and we have 1 practice next week before our big show.  Here are some details for the show next Thursday!!

What your children should wear:

2B - Bauman - red, white, and blue tops and bottoms

• Date: Thursday, October 11, 2018
• Location: Rice High School Gymnasium
• Time: 5:45 p.m. Arrival / 6:00 p.m. Show
• Students who arrive before 5:45 are expected to stay with their parents until the gym doors open and they can sit down with their class and teacher.
• Parents should hold all sweatshirts, jackets, and extra clothing in the audience.

• If you have the right color shirt, but it has a logo or writing on it, just wear it inside out to show the solid color. Tags and seams will not be visible from the audience.
• Please use clothing that you already have at home. There is no expectation that families will buy clothing for the circus. If you have extras, please consider lending something to a friend!
• There will be novelties (including much of the circus equipment kids have used this week) for sale the night of the show!
