October 5, 2018
Dear Families,
The circus fun is well underway and all the children are having a wonderful time with Troy.  We have had 3 practices this week and we have 1 practice next week before our big show.  Here are some details for the show next Thursday!!
What your children should wear:
2B - Bauman - red, white, and blue tops and bottoms
  • Date: Thursday, October 11, 2018
  • Location: Rice High School Gymnasium
  • Time: 5:45 p.m. Arrival / 6:00 p.m. Show
  • Students who arrive before 5:45 are expected to stay with their parents until the gym doors open and they can sit down with their class and teacher.
  • Parents should hold all sweatshirts, jackets, and extra clothing in the audience.
  • If you have the right color shirt, but it has a logo or writing on it, just wear it inside out to show the solid color. Tags and seams will not be visible from the audience.
  • Please use clothing that you already have at home. There is no expectation that families will buy clothing for the circus. If you have extras, please consider lending something to a friend!
  • There will be novelties (including much of the circus equipment kids have used this week) for sale the night of the show!
Have a great weekend to all families,

                                                                         Nicole

Creating our Small Moment Stories

Sharing our Small Moment Stories with our classmates is helpful.  We get such great ideas from our classmates.

Writers Workshop ✏️

In our Writers Workshop, 2nd graders are writing up a storm.  They continue to add more to their Small Moment stories.  They have set goals to add important elements to their stories, such as, dialogue and feelings.  Some writers are starting new Small Moment stories and others are still adding to their stories they are working on.
